Content Manager

This guide is for LearnIt PRO users who manage course content from the Dashboard.

1. Accessing the Dashboard

  1. Log in with your PRO account.
  2. Open the Dashboard page.
  3. If you do not have PRO access, you will see: Access Denied. PRO account required.

2. Dashboard At a Glance

At the top of the page, you will see summary cards:

  • Info: registration date, role, and total storage used.
  • Live Content: number of chapters currently published.
  • Audio Library: number of audio files and audio storage usage.
  • Excel Content: current uploaded .xlsx file and size.

You can also use Logout from the header.

3. Main Tabs

The Dashboard has three main tabs:

  • Live Content
  • Audio Library
  • Excel Content

4. Live Content Tab

Use this tab to manage chapter content shown in the app.

4.1 Set Course Languages

  • Fill Language 1 and Language 2.
  • Click Save.
  • If Language 2 is empty, second-language fields are hidden in the editor.

4.2 Rebuild Live Content from Excel

Use this when you want to regenerate all chapters from your current Excel file.

  • Click Rebuild Live Content from Excel.
  • Confirm the warning.
  • Existing Live Content chapters are replaced with data from Excel.

4.3 Chapter List Controls

  • Select all: check the Select all box.
  • Delete selected: removes multiple chapters.
  • Per page: choose 20, 50, 100, or All.
  • Pagination: use Prev and Next.
  • New Chapter: create a chapter manually.
  • View JSON: open the exported chapters JSON.

4.4 Chapter Editor Sections

Inside the chapter editor, use tabs for:

  • Sentences
  • Vocabulary
  • Questions
  • Notes
  • Characters
  • Flashcards
  • Extras

Click Save Chapter when done.

5. Audio Library Tab

Use this tab to upload and manage MP3 files.

5.1 Upload Audio

  • Click Upload New MP3.
  • Select one or multiple .mp3 files.
  • Click Upload MP3(s).

Non-MP3 files are skipped.

5.2 Manage Audio Files

For each audio row, you can:

  • Play audio.
  • Copy base filename.
  • Rename file.
  • Delete file.

You can also bulk-select files and delete selected items.

5.3 Batch Text-to-Speech (Beta)

This feature generates MP3 files from your content using Azure TTS.

  1. Enter locale for Language 1 (example: en-US).
  2. Enter locale for Language 2 (example: zh-CN).
  3. Click Start.
  4. Use Pause or Stop when needed.

Notes:

  • Generated files follow naming like 001_l1_s_001.mp3.
  • TTS progress and logs are shown in the tab.

6. Excel Content Tab

Use this tab to manage your course Excel source file.

6.1 Rules

  • Only one .xlsx file is allowed.
  • Uploading a new file replaces the old one.

6.2 Actions

  • View JSON: preview exported JSON from Excel.
  • Delete: remove current Excel file.
  • Upload Excel: upload new .xlsx file.

After upload, use Rebuild Live Content from Excel in the Live Content tab to refresh chapters.

7. Read-Only Mode

Some accounts are configured as read-only by the admin.

If your account is read-only:

  • You will see a warning banner.
  • Saving, uploading, renaming, deleting, and edits are blocked.
  • API write actions are disabled.

You can still view data and navigate tabs.

8. Storage and File Tips

  • Keep filenames clean and consistent.
  • Use MP3 for audio uploads.
  • Keep your Excel file as a reliable source of truth.
  • Rebuild Live Content after major Excel updates.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Upload Fails

  • Confirm file type (.mp3 or .xlsx as required).
  • Try smaller files if uploads are large.
  • Refresh and retry.

9.2 No Chapters Visible

  • Check if Excel is uploaded in Excel Content.
  • Run Rebuild Live Content from Excel.

9.3 Changes Not Saved

  • Check if your account is in read-only mode.
  • Re-login and retry.

9.4 Wrong Audio Not Playing

  • Verify filename matches chapter references.
  • Use copy filename action from Audio Library to avoid typos.

If something is unclear or blocked, contact the site administrator and include:

  • What tab you were using.
  • What action you tried.
  • Any error message shown on screen.
